A ceremonial process, using Africa's miracle oil, blended with Neroli, to soften signs of ageing through its anti-stress action. Benzoin further acts as an anti-inflammatory and aids chapped, inflamed and irritated skin. Traditionally Marula was used in anointment ceremonies to bless and bring abundance. In Africa, Marula is also known to treat sun-damaged skin as it improves skin hydration and helps fight free radicals. The Rooibos extract blended into our oil is a special way of helping the skin to rejuvenate itself. This treatment starts with the application of warm soothing mud to release negativity stored in the muscles, this is gently removed with a warm aromatic compress followed by the application of Marula oil in preparation for your intuitive body and scalp massage.

Easy Melting Shea from Ghana blended with healing African potato and Rooibos and natural essential oils creates the most beautiful body experience. Shea hard as rock, once applied to the skin melts deeply into the upper layers of the dermis to hydrate, soothe and condition. A sensory selection of exotic jasmine, Neroli, geranium or black pepper and rosemary for a deep tissue treatment, or calming chamomile to relax. An inability to let go often expresses itself in the body as Arthritis or a sluggish lymphatic system that can be blamed for low immunity. The healer saw this as negativity possessing the body. Intonga Amasatchi is a deep tissue and stress relieving treatment. Skilful movements are performed with the hands and different sized wooden sticks are used to stretch tight muscles and ease toxic overload from daily stress. Symbolically the stick or staff represented wisdom and direction to the healer. Created from wood, the traditional healer knew that the energy of earth symbolising growth and abundance is a valuable tool, not only in grounding the individual, but also its intrinsic ability to absorb and purify negativity re channelling energy flow.

Our body experience starts with an Africology body scrub that also acts as a purifying mask. This process deeply eliminates toxins, while exfoliating lifeless skin cells and assists with the cell renewal. Preparing the skin for Hypoxis. Extracted using a natural process combined with Marula oil, softens, soothes and improves skin hydration, while also fighting free radicals. Africology's warm herbal blend relaxes you on application, while the background sounds of Africa ensure a special way to help the mind focus on the holistic experience. You may choose between a traditional foot ritual or deeply relaxing face massage, while the wraps herbal blend moisturizes and tones the skin. Finally, there is the pressure point massage, with the skin serum that creates a natural barrier to hold in moisture, to complete the experience. The Palmitic Acid found in Marula oil creates a protective coating on the surface of the skin. Palmitic acid is fat-soluble, so it can easily be absorbed into the skin. Offering maximum protection against free radicals, it also helps the growth of fibroblasts, the cells that help produce collagen and elastin in the skin.

African maidens have for centuries captured the spirit of river mud, for a more youthful and radiant complexion. This wonderfully therapeutic wrap contains deep cleansing Kaolin and Bentonite for the absorption of excess oil and toxins from the skin which makes it ideal for the treatment of skin conditions such as eczema, rashes, sunburn, and swelling. Jojoba, Marula, Aloe Ferox with Rooibos and Lavender help to leave skin feeling smooth and refined, stimulating blood and lymphatic flow. The skin is prepared with our Africology Body scrub, and completed with a massaged application of hydrating Lavender and Pine balm.

Once the body has been prepared with a skin exfoliation, this Africology vitamin and mineral cocktail enriched with grape seed extract, calendula and arnica to promote a healthy immune system is applied as a mud wrap and sets on the body to stimulate lymph, collagen and toxin elimination, this is further enhanced with heat or steam to activate plant actives, allowing for better penetration into the skin and removed with warm water followed by a lymph massage.

We use an African plant combination used in a natural mud to help with circulation and lymph it contains L-Carnitine and Caffeine which act as fat strippers and mobilizers to stimulate lipolysis, along with Paulina Cupana seed extract and Cysteric Acid together trigger fatty acid liberation. Rooibos tea extract and Aloe Vera have a soothing and calming effect combined with essential oils of Juniper, Clary Sage and Lemongrass. This invigorating wrap begins with stimulating and exfoliating, working on circulation and lymph before the warm wrap is applied and heated, particularly good for bodies in need of a detox owing to acidic conditions, arthritis and oedema. Completes with a circulatory massage and energy balancing.

Once the body has been prepared with our Walnut and Marula shell exfoliator, our proven combination of Coffee extract combined with Mint is applied as a mud wrap and sets on the body to stimulate lymph and blood flow together with toxin elimination. This wrap is particularly helpful in water retention and cellulite reduction. It is highly recommended as part of a Lymph Draining Treatment.
